If you did not already know the Cleveland Metro-Parks zoo is open year round. In one year over 1.2 million people visit the zoo. The zoo has about 250 people employed year round. Also volunteers donate 50,000 hours of their time to help at the zoo and 40,000 member house holds help support the zoo.

• A playground is located at the zoo near the Primate Cat and Aquatics Building.
• Coolers and picnic baskets are allowed on the zoo grounds.
• For safety reasons we do not provide straws or drinking lids.
• Please do not tease or feed the animals and do not throw things into the water ways.
• There are trams running daily which are free and there are heated, enclosed trams in the winter.
